A signed and numbered edition of these prints has sold out, so these are unsigned. Beezer was a prolific photographer in Bristol in the 1980s whose work documenting the Bristol hip-hop scene and alternative culture is captured in the book Wild Dayz. During that time, Beezer also worked for Venue magazine and in 1986 Venue commissioned photographer Rob Scott to take a shot of maintenance workers on Clifton Suspension Bridge as part of a feature on unusual jobs. Scott couldn't take the commission so called in Beezer at short notice, who rocked up to the bridge. Half an hour later he was on top of the thing having climbed through one of the towers with the maintenance workers. In order to access his perch Beezer had to jump across a gap with his camera gear on his back and the gorge 200 feet below. The resulting shot is one of the most iconic bridge images. None of the guys in the picture were wearing safety harnesses and legend has it that one of them was on a work experience course. These prints are produced on 300gm art card and laminated with a clear varnish. Life on the bridge is 80cm wide by 60cm deep. They are supplied rolled in tubes but are best stored flat before framing.
