This is an anthology of work from the 2010 ShedFest (probably the world’s smallest literary festival) Fourteen poets, writers and slammers performed at this year’s ShedFest, held in a shed in a garden in St Andrews, Bristol. Each writer had a five minute slot to perform their work. The shed was used as a stage while the audience was packed onto the patio.
Writers featured in the anthology include:
Flash fiction writer Tania Hershman – author of The White Road and Other Stories (Salt Publishing)
Bristol Slam Poet Rosemary Dun
Bristol-based crime writer Gerry O’Donovan – author of The Priest, (Little Brown)
Historian and fiction writer Mike Manson – author of Where’s My Money? (Tangent Books)
Jari Moate, Bristol-based author of Paradise Now (Indepenpress)
‘Writing can be a solitary pursuit,’ says ShedFest organiser Mike Manson. ‘ShedFest was an opportunity for local authors to get together and share their work. We laughed, we cried, we were even a little bit scared.’
All profits from sales of the ShedFest anthology will be donated to the Pakistan Flood Appeal.
