Tangent Books once shared an office with Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood above the Little Theatre Cinema in Bath. That's how we came to publish Stanley's fabulous book Slowly Downward: A Collection of Miserable Short Stories. When we moved to a new office, Stanley came with us and it was there that he produced Dead Children Playing a collection of his and Thom Yorke's Radiohead artwork. Tangent moved to Bristol soon afterwards, but we kept in touch with Stanley and he recently illustrated Hartmann The Anarchist with a collection of fantastically apocalyptic lino cuts.

It was only recently that we discovered the Missing Donwood Box containing the last 10 copies of Dead Children Playing. Only 1,000 copies of the original hardback book were produced as the catalogue to a Barcelona exhibition of Stanley and Thom's work. These last 10 books are now exclusively available from Tangent Books as part of our Donwood package for £40 including post and packaging.
