Bath was a city built for leisure and pleasure by the Romans on the site of the famous hot springs. Beau Nash and his Georgian chums continued this theme when they made the city the place to be seen in the high society social seasons. Gideon Kibblewhite tells the modern-day visitor how to get the most out of the city, whether you want to visit the top Roman and Georgian sites or dig a little deeper to discover Bath's thriving counter-culture. This guide book has everything you need whether you are visiting or relocating to this beautiful city.

One of the best informative straightforward guides to Bath I have found. Not in the least bit stuffy or dogged down with historical terminology. It is an information packed delight to read with a good sense of humour sprinkled throughout. Well written and well worth the money. I'd definitely recommend this book for visitors of Bath from the UK and definitely the overseas visitors!

This book is good for people who know a little about Bath but do not want to read the full history of it. The Naked Guide is useful and light hearted.
