The founder of Methodism John Wesley travelled the country on horseback preaching and holding prayer meetings. Gospel’s Story is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that brings to life some of Wesley’s adventures along the way. The text is written by Gary M. Best, a novelist and leading Methodist historian. He is currently Warden of the New Room in Bristol, where people can still see Wesley’s chapel and the stable for his horse.
